We’ve had a great write-up in the Walthamstow Guardian, and many of the new traders even sold out of their delicious food, so hot foot it down to the market for lunch, snacks, gifts, vintage, upcycling, crafts and other goodies!
So if you missed the Grand Launch or if you were away over Easter, then here’s your chance to check out all the new market stalls… please come along and support your local area and this exciting new initiative!

Thanks to all who made the launch of Saturday at St James such a brilliant success.
The whole market was buzzing like it hasn’t for decades. Over 50 great new stalls forged onto the western end of the existing market offering crafts, fashion, vintage and 12 delicious food stalls.
The council and ourselves are completely thrilled, as were the public and stallholders who joined us. This is a great beginning and I hope to see you all here this Saturday and many Saturdays to come…

Saturdays at St James Street - part of Walthamstow Market
Launching on Saturday 31st March
Please come along to the launch an exciting new mix of stalls, offering street food, deli food, vintage, crafts, up-cycling and other curiosities, at a new market hub location, besides St James Street Station in Walthamstow.
The market is part of the traditional Walthamstow Market, but will be offering new stalls never before seen in the market! This is the result of a competition offering free rent of a market stall for three months, to establish this new hub.
So we invite everyone to come down to the launch, with friends and family, and take a seat at our long table of street food, enjoy live music and much your way through Korean Kimchi burgers, tasty Quesadillas, Lebanese, Moroccan, African, Caribbean, and traditional Slovakian foods, also naughty pancakes and artisan foods to take home with you.
There will also be a collection of new crafty stalls, including re-cycled bicycles, upcycled furniture, vintage-inspired tailoring and local crafts groups, showcasing the best talents from East of the Lee Valley!
Great to see the market featured in Time Out‘s cover feature on London’s markets.
And only a matter of hours left to apply for a free rent market stall, applications close at midday tomorrow, Monday 12th.
There are some exciting things happening at the Market, follow this blog to find out more, and watch this space!
