Every Tuesday to Saturday: Walthamstow Market
Dating from 1885, the market is the longest outdoor street market in Europe and spans roughly a kilometre of Walthamstow High Street. Stalls sell an array of food, clothes, and household goods and are complemented by a wide variety of cafes and restaurants selling everything from Caribbean cuisine to traditional Cockney fare like pie and mash or jellied eels.

The St James Street end of the market has become a new exciting hub of the Walthamstow Market, where every Saturday you will find a fantastic array of new and different stalls, including street-food, ethnic food, antiques, upcycled products, retro / vintage, arts, crafts and gifts…
Every Sunday: Farmers’ Market on the Town Square
Walthamstow is a true community market, with a really devoted following. The market opened in September 2007 just off the High Street, the site of the regular weekday market. Amongst the favourite stalls are Muck and Magic, organic beef, pork and lamb farmers from Suffolk, and the Giggly Pig, who farms free-range pigs in nearby Romford. It also boasts some fantastic seasonal produce, such as Dallaways Cherries in June and a great range of apples from Millets Farm in the Autumn.
